Privacy

CAlpha is run by the operator of CAlpha. We collect as little as we can: there are no accounts, no emails, no names and no card details.
What we collect
- Your IP address, scrambled. To count free checks, we store a one-way scrambled (salted hash) version of your IP address with a daily counter. We don't store the IP itself.
- Your pass key, scrambled. We store a one-way scrambled version of your key so we can recognise it, plus its plan, dates and when it was last used.
- Payment records. For each payment we store the plan, amount, token, transaction signature, time, and the wallet address it came from. These are public on the Solana blockchain anyway, which we can't change or delete.
- Coins you check. For up to 2 days we remember which tokens each visitor checked (against the scrambled IP or key), so re-checking the same coin doesn't use up another check. Separately, we keep the token addresses checked, our results and the later price, to measure how accurate our verdicts were; that record isn't linked to you.
Stored in your browser
The website saves your pass key, any payment in progress, and display choices (like light or dark mode) in your browser's local storage, so you don't have to re-enter them. You can delete them any time from My pass or by clearing your browser's site data. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the website and database, and handles every request to it.
- When you check a coin, we ask Jupiter, DEX Screener, RugCheck and GeckoTerminal about that token, and visit the token's own website, Telegram page and X account. Those requests come from our servers and contain the token address, not your details.
- To confirm payments we read the Solana blockchain through an RPC provider (such as Helius).
- If AI analysis is switched on, we send the token's check results to Anthropic (Claude) to write the summary. No personal information is sent.
How long we keep it
- Daily check counters: about 40 days.
- Cached reports: up to 2 days.
- Check outcomes used for the track record: up to 60 days after they're measured.
- Keys and payment records: while your pass is useful to you, and for as long as tax and accounting law requires (in New Zealand, generally 7 years).
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Because we don't know who you are, you'll need to give us your pass key or a transaction signature so we can find your records. Contact: the support contact shown on the website. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
